Kolkata, Feb. 17 -- The West Bengal government has finally initiated action against four state officials by registering FIRs against them, complying with the Election Commission's directive within the stipulated deadline, official sources said on Tuesday.
The FIRs were lodged in accordance with the Election Commission of India's instructions, the last date for compliance being Tuesday.
State Chief Secretary Nandini Chakraborty has written to the Commission confirming that the directive has been implemented, sources at Nabanna said.
