Chennai, May 5 -- Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Monday night
wrote to External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar urging him to ensure the
security of Indian fishermen, prevent the recurrence of attacks by the Sri Lankan
Navy and to stop the scuttling of apprehended fishing boats.
In a Demi-Official letter to Dr Jaishankar, copies of which released to the media
here, he also urged him to take all necessary steps to bring back 229 fishing boats
apprehended by Sri Lanka by taking up these pressing issues with the Island
government.
Drawing his immediate attention some issues that have been causing considerable
