Chennai, May 31 -- Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK President on Saturday evening virtually kicked off the party's 2026 Assembly poll campaign, by holding a grand road show in Madurai on the eve of the DMK's key General Council meeting.

As part of his two-day visit, Mr Stain landed in Madurai on Saturday afternoon to a rousing reception for the General Council meeting, which is expected to draw the road map and devise the strategy for the Assembly polls, which is less than a year away.

As the entire Temple town was painted with Red and black DMK flags, Mr Stalin held the massive road show stretching to a distance of about 25 kms, covering all major areas in the city.
