Chennai, Sept. 14 -- As legendary music composer Ilaiyaraaja completes half a century of his journey in the film industry, a rare feat by an Indian, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK president MK Stalin has urged the union government to honour the maestro with Bharat Ratna.
"It is not only to commemorate Ilaiyaraaja's 50 years in the film industry that I am making this request, but I am doing so not just on behalf of the people of Tamil Nadu, but on behalf of the maestro's fans across the globe.
