Chennai, Aug. 8 -- At a time when the ruling DMK and oall parties are stoutly opposing implementation of the New Education Police (NEP) that envisaged introduction of three-language formula in the State, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin today unveiled the new School Education Policy with the theme "Education Reimagined :Inclusive, Equitable and Future-Ready".
At an event held at the Anna Centenary Library in the city, Mr Stalin released the policy and the first copy was received by Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin in the presence of School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi and senior officials.
A 14-member committee, headed by retired Justice Murugesan, was formed in 2022 to draft the policy.
