Chennai, Oct. 3 -- Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK president M.K. Stalin today criticised the BJP saying the party had not sent a delegation to Manipur but had now dispatched a team of MPs to Karur "seeking political mileage" in the aftermath of the stampede that claimed 41 lives.
"The BJP sent a delegation to Karur not out of concern for Tamil Nadu, but to exploit the tragedy for political gain since Assembly elections are on the anvil. They did not send delegations to strife-torn Manipur, to Gujarat or to the Kumbh Mela . They are out to use this either to threaten or coerce someone to serve their interests.
