Chennai, March 11 -- Once again reiterating his strong opposition to the National Education Policy (NEP), Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and ruling DMK President M.K.Stalin said its provisions would drive away students and destroy the growth of education.

He was speaking at a government function in neighbouring Chengalpattu district after launching 47 completed projects and laying foundation stones for five new projects and distributing welfare measures to 50,606 beneficiaries together involving Rs 1,285.46 crores, besides launching a scheme to distribute pattas to the landless people.
