Chennai, Aug. 19 -- Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin today launched a new scheme christened "Chief Minister's Kakkum Karangal" programme for the welfare of ex-servicemen
to help them to set up their business ventures and make them entrepreneurs. .
At an event held at the State Secretariat, he also handed over orders to 155 ex-servicemen to
make them entrepreneurs.
They will be provided a plan outlay Rs 24.43 crore to set up their own self-employment ventures
with 30 per cent capital subsidy
In the first phase, 348 ex-servicemen and their families would be benefitted under the scheme, launched with a total allocation of Rs 50.50 crore.
