Chennai, Sept. 19 -- Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin today inaugurated the US-based data centre majorEquinix's data centre at SIPCOT Siruseri, set up at a cost of Rs 574 crore.
At an event organised by the Investment and Trade Promotion department at the State Secretariat, Mr Stalinlaunched the facility as part of the STate government's ambitious target of making TN USD one Trillion economyby 2030.
He said towards this objective, the government has been taking a number of steps to create enhnced joboportunities for the youth, and attracting foreign investment.
At a time time when Chennai was emerging as a mao Data information Centre, many firms are setting uptheir data centres here, he said.
