Chennai, Dec. 20 -- In a landmark event showing casing the Tamil civlisation to the world community,Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin tonight inaugurated the 'Porunai Archaeological Museum' in thesouthern Tirunelveli district.
It was built at the cost of Rs 56.60 crore near Reddiyarpatti hillock on the Tirunelveli-Kanniyakumarifour-lane NH showcasing the ancient Tamil civilization to the world.
The entire sprawling was illuminated and tastefully decorated as Mr Stalin inaugurated it tonight.
This is the second archaeological museum after the one at Keezhadi to which the Centre was yetto give its nod.
