Chennaui, Dec. 6 -- Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin today flagged off relief materialson behalf of th people of the state for the Cyclone Ditwah ravaged Sri Lanka from the Chennaiand Thoothukudi Ports.
The relief materials contained a total of 950 metric tonnes of which 650 MT were flagged offfrom Chennai Port and 300 MT from the Thoothukudi port.
The relief materials were sent through Indian Coast Guard ships.
On the occasion, Mr Stalin handed over samples of relief materials to Sri LankanDeputy High Commissioner in Chennai Dr Ganesanathan.
