Chennai, July 14 -- Flaying the BJP-led Government at the Centre for placing elected
J and K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah under house arrest, his Tamil Nadu counterpart and
DMK President M K Stalin said the events unfolding there were a grim reminder of how
far things have deteriorated at a time when there was a growing demand for restoring the
statehood status.
Unequivocally condemning the manner in which an elected Chief Minister was being treated,
he said this was not about one state or one leader as from TN to Kashmir, the BJP government
at the Centre was systematically stripping away the rights of elected state government.

of the people...
