Puducherry, April 6 -- DMK President and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin on Monday evening assured to strive for obtaining full Statehood status for the union Territory of Puducherry.
Addressing a public meeting here tonight in support of the INDI Alliance candidates for the April 9 assembly elections, Mr Stalin said usually Tamil Nadu and Puducherry will go to polls together.
"This time it was changed and Puducherry goes to polls earlier. If the dates are changed, can the emotions be changed", he asked and urged the Puducherry electorate to vote for INDI Alliance to drive away the "Sangi troops" here, launching a blistering attack on the NDA government headed by ruling AINRC Founder N Rangasamy.
