Chennai, Nov. 13 -- Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin todayannounced a three per cent hike in Dearness Allowance for stategovernment employees and teachers with effect from July one.
As per the announcement, the DA has now been hiked from 55 percent to 58 per cent, an official release here said.
The government will incur an additional expenditure of Rs 1,829 croreper annum following the DA hike, it said.
The hike would benefit about Rs 16 lakh government employees, teachers,pensioners and family pensioners.
