Belagavi, Nov. 2 -- A Kannada Rajyotsava celebration in Belagavi turned violent today when unidentified miscreants stabbed five people at Sadashivnagar's Lakshmi Complex during the festivities.

Police said two of the victims are in critical condition and are receiving treatment at BIMS Hospital.

According to officials, the attackers fled immediately after the assault. Preliminary investigations suggest the suspects may have come from outside the district. The sudden attack triggered panic among the crowd, bringing the celebratory atmosphere to a halt.
