New Delhi, Dec. 20 -- union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday appreciated the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) for safeguarding the nation's borders and being among the first responders during crisis scenario's.
Lauding the border force for its courage, dedication and discipline he highlighted its role in establishing security and trust among the border populations, even in harsh geographical and climatic conditions.
In his personal message on SSB's 62nd raising day, which was read out by SSB Director General Sanjay Singhal, Shah conveyed his greetings to all officers, personnel and their families, and paid tribute to the brave martyrs of the force.
