Chennai, Sept. 12 -- The SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Shree Renga Polyester Pvt. Ltd. (SRPPL), Karur, a pioneering company that converts waste PET bottles into fibers and transforms them into wearable clothing.

The MoU was formally signed by Dr. S. Ponnusamy, Registrar, SRMIST, and Dr. K. Sankar, Managing Director, SRPPL.

The partnership aims to foster joint research and development of new products and processes in the domain of waste management, aligning with India's sustainability goals.
