Tirumala, Jan. 14 -- The famous mock hunt festival of 'Parveta Utsavam' will be observed on January 16, on the day of the Kanuma festival. On the same day, Goda Parinayotsavam will also be performed, a TTD release stated on Wednesday.
On the occasion of Goda Parinayotsavam, the garlands of Andal will be taken from the Pedda Jeeyar Swamy Mutt to the Srivaru temple in a procession along the four mada streets in Tirumala between 5.30 AM and 6.30 AM .
Later at 1 pm, Malayappa Swamy and Krishna Swamy will be taken to the Paruveta Mandapam.
Asthanam and hunting programs are held there. After that, the deities reach the temple in the evening.
All arjita sevas remain cancelled on that day including the Kalyanotsavam, Unjalseva, Arjitha Brahmots...
