Srinagar, June 12 -- Kashmir continued to sizzle on Thursday, with Srinagar recording a maximum temperature of 34.2degC, the Meteorological Centre Srinagar said.

The MeT has predicted mainly dry and hot weather conditions across Jammu and Kashmir in the next two days, with a possibility of isolated rain or thunderstorms in some areas.

Several areas on Thursday recorded daytime temperatures 5degC to 7degC above normal.

Srinagar registered a scorching 34.2degC, which is 6.2degC above normal, while Qazigund in south Kashmir witnessed 33.9degC, a sharp 7.2degC above average.

The popular tourist destination Pahalgam wasn't spared either, recording 29.0degC, 5.3degC above normal.
