Srinagar, July 5 -- At 37.4 degrees Celsius, Srinagar today recorded its highest July temperature in last over seven decades, Meteorological Centre Srinagar said.
The last time a higher temperature was recorded was in 1953, when the maximum had reached 37.7 degrees Celsius. The night temperature settled at 24.5 degrees Celsius.

According to the Meteorological Centre Srinagar, Srinagar recorded a maximum temperature of 37.4degC today, making it the third highest temperature ever recorded in the city's history.
