Srinagar, July 3 -- The Economic Offences Wing (EoW) of J&K Police today filed a charge sheet against a Srinagar resident for allegedly using forged medical documents, including a fake Medical Council of India (MCI) registration certificate, to secure employment at Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) Medical College, Bemina.

A statement said the EoW, Srinagar, formerly Crime Branch Kashmir, submitted charge-sheet in a case registered in 2023 before the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Srinagar against Numan Farooq Wani of Umarabad Zainakote Srinagar for submitting fake MCI registration certificate and other medical documents at the time of his engagement at SKIMS Bemina, Srinagar.
