Srinagar, May 1 -- : J&K's Anti-Corruption Bureau on Friday arrested a police head constable in Srinagar for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000 from a complainant.

ACB said that head constable Parvaiz Ahmad Rather, posted in district Srinagar, was caught red-handed while taking the bribe amount.

The arrest followed a written complaint received by the ACB alleging that the accused officer had demanded Rs 15,000 to remove the complainant's name from the list of accused in FIR No. 09/2026 registered at Soura Police Station.
