Srinagar, Feb. 27 -- A major fire broke out in a residential house in the Tailbal area on the outskirts of Srinagar this evening, officials said on Thursday.
Fire and Emergency Service officials said that the fire broke out around 6 pm in a residential house in the Tailbal area, involving the third floor and the attic portion of the bungalow.
Some blasts presumed to have occurred due to the bursting of gas cylinders were also heard during the incident.
Several fire tenders have been rushed from the Srinagar fire stations to douse the leaping flames.
Further details are to emerge, they said.
