Ahmedabad, Sept. 30 -- India continued its impressive run on day three of the 11th Asian Aquatics Championships at the Veer Savarkar Sports Complex, with Srihari Nataraj clinching bronze in the Men's 100m Freestyle and Rohit B Benedicton securing silver in the Men's 50m Butterfly.
The medals took India's overall tally to nine, including three individual and two relay podium finishes for Srihari.
In the Men's 100m Freestyle, Srihari, drawn in lane five, turned third at the 50m mark behind China's Haoyu Wang (49.19) and Qatar's Ali Tamer Hassan (49.46), with fellow Indian Akash Mani close in fourth (50.45). Maintaining a strong rhythm in the second half, Srihari held off the challengers to touch the wall in 49.96 seconds, earning bronze.
