Colombo, March 1 -- The Sri Lanka Navy is working in full swing to establish infrastructure and facilities for the convenience of devotees visiting Kachchativu Island in the Jaffna Peninsula to participate in the annual two-day Saint Antony's Church festival that begins on April 14.

The Sri Lanka Navy in an official statement said here on Saturday that following the directives from Commander of the Navy and overseen by Commander of Northern Naval Area, the Naval personnel were actively involved in the development of infrastructure in Kachchativu, including setting up sanitation and drinking water facilities, temporary shelters, roads, jetties and ensuring electricity supply for the upcoming festival.
