Colombo, Jan. 1 -- Sri Lanka have announced an exciting squad for the upcoming ICC Under-19 Men's Cricket World Cup, set to be held this month.

The team will be led by Vimath Dinsara, who takes on the captaincy role, with Kavija Gamage named as vice-captain for the event beginning January 15.

The squad features a strong mix of promising batters like the skipper Dinsara, Gamage and Mahavithana, while also comprising of versatile all-rounders like Viran Chamuditha, Gamage,and Chamika Heentigala.

Sri Lanka's focus is heavy on depth and adaptability to suit the conditions in Zimbabwe and Namibia. They reached the Super 6s stage of the previous edition of the tournament hosted inSouth Africa.
