Puri, Nov. 22 -- A fresh inventory of ornaments stored in the Bhitar Ratna Bhandar of the Sri Jagannath temple will be conducted soon after the Odisha government issues a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
The new inventory will be tallied with the 1978 inventory records, and all ornaments and jewellery will be documented in digital format.
At its meeting held on Friday, the Sri Jagannath Temple Managing Committee (MC) stressed the need to complete the inventory before the upcoming Akshaya Tritiya.
A proposal is being prepared to encourage devotees to donate gold under the Subarna Alankar Daan Yojana, enabling the preparation of an additional set of ornaments for the deities.
