Mumbai, Dec. 21 -- Over 2,500 families at Worli in Central Mumbai have accused the Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA) of stalling their long-pending redevelopmrnt project by issuing a notice to remove the appointed developer, triggering protests ahead of the municipal corporation elections and threats of a voting boycott.

Residents of Sagar Darshan and Chaitanya Sai Janata Colony Cooperative Housing Societies alleged that the notice, issued by SRA Chief Executive Officer Mahendra Kalyankar under Section 13(2), seeks to terminate the developer's appointment without citing any specific technical, financial or legal deficiencies.
