Jalgaon, Jan. 9 -- A construction businessman was robbed of an eight-tola gold chain after unidentified assailants sprayed a chemical substance into his eyes and assaulted him on Mohadi Road in Jalgaon on Friday. The incident occurred in front of Nayantara Restaurant, and a case has been registered at the MIDC Police Station against unknown persons.
According to police sources, the victim, Khubchand Premchand Sahitya, aged 58 and a resident of Mohadi Road, had gone out for his routine morning walk. After having breakfast, he was returning home on foot via the Ichhadevi Chowk route when the incident took place.
