Shimla, Sept. 21 -- Presiding over the opening ceremony of State level under 19 Girls Tournament at Janjehli in Seraj Vidhan Sabha area of Mandi district on Saturday, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur announced increase in sports grant for organising school tournaments from Rs10 lakh to Rs 20 lakh and diet money from Rs 60 to Rs 100 per day.
Chief minister said that sports activities were the integral part of our life and vital for over all development of the human personality. He said that it was heartening to see that girls were striving hard to excel in the field of sports so that they could bring laurels to their schools and the State.
