Pune, March 15 -- In a remarkable display of medical excellence and compassion, Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital (DMH) recently performed a split liver transplant in Pune, giving a new lease of life to two patients from a single donor.

A 6-year-old girl received a portion of the donated liver, while the remaining segment was transplanted into a 58-year-old male adult patient at DMH. Both recipients are recovering well under close medical supervision, a release from the hospital stated.
