Mumbai, Jan. 26 -- Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Monday said the teachings of Gautama Buddha on brotherhood are deeply embedded in the heart of the Indian Constitution and continue to guide the nation's progress. He was speaking on the occasion of the 77th Republic Day celebrations in Mumbai.

The Chief Minister unfurled the national flag at the official state ceremony held at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Maidan in Dadar. On the occasion, he paid tribute to Dr B R Ambedkar and expressed gratitude to all members of the Constituent Assembly for their invaluable contribution to the framing of the Constitution.
