Ranchi, Sept. 19 -- A three-day special competency training programme for trainers on ensuring safe childbirth began today at the Gynecology Auditorium of Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), the state's largest government hospital.

The programme is being organised by the Maternal Health Division of the National Health Mission (NHM).

Specialist doctors and staff nurses from labour rooms across various districts are participating in this second batch of training.
