New Delhi, Sept. 8 -- A Special PMLA court in Lucknow today awarded six years of rigorous imprisonment to the former managing director of Labour and Construction Cooperative Federation Ltd (LACCFED) Brahm Prakash Singh, in a multi-crore scam.
While awarding the sentence, the court also slapped a fine of Rs 10,000,00 on him and directed the agency to attach eight of his properties.
The court also noted its order that the accused and his counsel were intimidating the witnesses of the case. The court specially mentioned that the counsel of the accused personally threatened the complainant. "The counsel even tried to obstruct the proceedings," the court noted.
