Bilaspur (HP), Nov. 25 -- Special Judge (NDPS), Ghumarwin, Mohit Bansal, has convicted Saurabh Phool, a resident of Shimla, and sentenced him to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 1 lakh under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

In case of failure to pay the fine, the court has ordered an additional one year of imprisonment.

The case dates back to January 30, 2024, when a police team from Ghumarwin, led by Inspector Karam Chand, intercepted an Alto car during routine traffic checking.
