Kolkata, Nov. 4 -- The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls commenced today across West Bengal, along with 11 other States and union Territories.

Booth Level Officers (BLOs) of the Election Commission have started visiting households to distribute enumeration forms and collect voter information. For residents living outside the state, the Commission has introduced an online facility to fill out the enumeration form. However, the online service has not yet gone live due to technical issues. An official from the Chief Electoral Officer's (CEO) office said the problem is being addressed, and the facility is expected to be available within a day or two.
