Patna, April 9 -- A special vigilance court in Patna on Thursday ordered the confiscation of a flat belonging to a Bihar Police inspector under provisions of the Special Courts Act in a disproportionate assets case.
The order was passed by Special Vigilance Judge Brijesh Pathak after hearing an application filed by the Vigilance Department. The court directed the confiscation of Flat No. 103 in Patliputra Villa, located in Krishnapuri locality of Patna, owned by Rajeev Nayan Kumar Singh, who was then posted as Circle Inspector in Sonepur (Chhapra).
The court also instructed the District Magistrate of Patna to recover Rs 16.44 lakh from the confiscated property.
