Madrid, July 31 -- The Supreme Court of Spain has dismissed several complaints and lawsuits filed by civic groups and associations against Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez and six members of his cabinet over their alleged inaction during the deadly floods of October 2024, Spanish media reported.
According to national broadcaster TVE, the court rejected charges of "failure to provide assistance" and "negligent manslaughter" brought against Sanchez, former Deputy Prime Minister Teresa Ribera, and the ministers of defense, interior, finance, and other government officials.
