Madrid, Nov. 11 -- Spain coach Luis de la Fuente has expressed his dismay at the news that FC Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal would miss Spain's upcoming World Cup qualifiers after undergoing treatment on his ongoing groin injury.
De la Fuente on Friday included Yamal in his squad for games against Georgia and Turkey, saying that he believed the winger was fit after he had played all of Barcelona's 3-3 draw against Club Brugge during the week.
Yamal also played over 90 minutes in his side's 4-2 win away to Celta Vigo on Sunday, but the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) discovered later that he had undergone treatment on Monday morning for his injury and wouldn't be able to play for his country.
