Lucknow, July 21 -- : Controversy over primary school merger in Uttar Pradesh intensified to the extent that Rajeev Rai, senior leader of the Samajwadi Party and Member of Parliament from Ghosi, has written a letter to the Yogi Adityanath government raising serious concerns about the ongoing school merger process.
Although the matter was previously taken to the High Court, which upheld the state government's decision as justified, some groups have now moved to the Supreme Court, where the case is still pending a hearing.
