Lucknow, July 23 -- Samajwadi Party leader and MP Dharmendra Yadav has raised concerns over the merger of schools in Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh.

Yadav stated that the government's decision is causing difficulties for students and their parents.

In a letter written to the Azamgarh District Magistrate (DM) today, Yadav mentioned that he has raised several questions regarding the merger process.

In his letter, Yadav pointed out that out of 2,706 schools in Azamgarh, 329 have been identified for merger. So far, orders have been issued to close 231 schools, while the remaining are either being shut down or paired with other institutions.
