Jaunpur, March 4 -- A local Samajwadi Party (SP) leader was murdered by unidentified miscreants by slitting his throat in Line Bazar area of Jaunpur district in Uttar Pradesh, police sources said here on Tuesday.
The sources said that the incident took place when SP booth president Rajesh Yadav alias Nate (45), a resident of Paryavaran Bankat village of the area, was going from Jaunpur city to his village Pariyara after selling milk on his bicycle on Monday night.
"While Rajesh was way back to his house, unidentified miscreants on a bike slit his throat with a sharp weapon," they said.
