Lucknow, Feb. 20 -- Swami Prasad Maurya, who resigned from primary membership of Samajwadi Party (SP) along with the membership of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council on Tuesday, said ideology is most important in politics and SP has deviated from its ideology.

Talking to reporters, Maurya said that he did not enter politics for the greed of position. "Ideology is important to me. SP has deviated from ideology and that is why I have resigned from the party," he said.
