Lucknow, April 16 -- Samajwadi Party (SP) on Wednesday demanded the central government restore National Security Guard (NSG) security for party president Akhilesh Yadav.
In a letter sent to the Union Home Minister, the party's state spokesperson, Fakhrul Hasan Chaand, has said that SP is the third largest party in the country, whose president has been openly threatened with deadly attacks in the past few days, on which the state government has not taken any action. "Since the party president keeps visiting other states besides UP, it is necessary to provide him with Z-plus category security along with NSG cover," he said.
