Hyderabad, Dec. 15 -- A statue of legendary playback singer S P Balasubrahmanyam (SPB) was unveiled at Ravindra Bharathi here on Monday, with several dignitaries, family members and admirers in attendance.
Former Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu, former Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya, Telangana Minister D Sridhar Babu, BJP Telangana president N. Ramachander Rao, and members of SPB's family - his wife Savitri, son S. P. Charan and daughter Pallavi, Subhaleka Sudhakar- participated in the unveiling ceremony.
Cultural programmes were organised as part of the event at Ravindra Bharathi. A musical programme featuring 50 artistes was held in the evening, during which 20 of SPB's popular songs were rendered as a tribute to the iconic singer....
