Pune, July 29 -- The Southwest Monsoon has been vigorous over Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, and active over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, eastern Rajasthan, and western Madhya Pradesh, India Meteorological Department (IMD) said today.

It has been subdued over Saurashtra and Kutch, Marathwada, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, and south interior Karnataka, the IMD bulletin said.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, western Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Konkan, Goa, and coastal Karnataka; at many places in Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Jharkhand, eastern Uttar Pradesh, Pu...
