Hyderabad, July 2 -- The South Central Railway (SCR) registered its best-ever revenue performance during the first quarter in the current financial year (CFY). The zone recorded Rs 5,219 crore in gross originating revenue during the first quarter period from April to June 2025, which is 1.2 percent more than the previous best of Rs 5,156 crore registered during 2024-25, the railways said in a release here today. This was backed by originating passenger revenue of Rs 1,485.21 crore and freight revenue of Rs 3,457.33 crore during the period.
