Los Angeles, Sept. 4 -- The upcoming live-action series of the popular 'Tomb Raider' game franchise will begin production in 2026, with 'Game of Thrones' actor Sophie Turner now confirmed for the role of the iconic Lara Croft.
A Prime Video production, the serialised adaptation of the highly popular video game franchise is officially set to begin production on Jan. 19, 2026, after it was first announced back in 2023 by the streaming service.
While the series production was greenlit in 2024, and Turner's casting was announced the same year, nothing was fully confirmed by the streamer's parent company Amazon, according to Variety.
