Guwahati, April 8 -- Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal today toured the three southern districts in Barak Valley of the state to take stock of measures to contain spread of COVID 10, while also appealing the people to follow all guidelines of lockdown and social distancing and refrain from any communal statements.

During the last leg of the visit, he met religious leaders at Silchar of Cachar district and called upon everybody to rise in unison to deal with the extraordinary situation arising out of COVID 19 pandemic.
