New Delhi, Feb. 21 -- Former Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Friday was discharged from the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital here, where she was admitted on Thursday.

According to party sources, the Rajya Sabha MP was admitted to the hospital on Thursday for a mild stomach infection and routine checkup. She was given discharge by the doctors on Friday morning.

Party sources said that Gandhi underwent a routine examination on Thursday morning but due to a minor stomach infection, she was admitted for a day.

She was under the care of a team of doctors, the sources said.
